Leez priory, Essex
Sascha and Brian got married at Leez Priory in Essex which meant the whole wedding was able to be accommodated there, from getting ready to the reception. We were only with them for a short time on their day but nevertheless, were able to create lots of stunning images to help them celebrate this special occasion. It was a fairly small wedding with 60 guests and the setting was just lovely.
The old building has charming rooms that are full of character with open beams and traditional windows. It was in one of these rooms that Sascha got ready with her mum. We love photographing the ‘getting ready’ portion of the day as it tells the story of the day from the beginning. Although it was a summer wedding in August, the bride came prepared for all weathers with her pink wellies to match the colour theme of her wedding alongside her delicate shoes. Getting ready was very relaxed and went without a hitch, so it wasn’t long before Sasha was putting on the final touches and ready to go meet her groom. She had such beautiful, sparkling jewellery – this girl likes her bling!
The ceremony was short and sweet, set in a gorgeous barn on the grounds of the hotel. It was such a delight to share in their love and laughter that was so apparent between the bride and groom. Every moment was full of happiness – just what we like to see. Sascha is a journalist, so many of her guests were in that industry too. This meant there was an abundance of phones, iPads and cameras appearing throughout the day with their guests documenting the activities too – it was GoPro galore!
Unfortunately, it did rain so most of the formal pictures had to be done inside, but that didn’t stop Sascha and Brian having a fun photo with the umbrellas outside embracing the weather. Luckily we were able to dash outside for some pictures in-between the rainy spells and get the all important confetti shot. Upstairs in the main building, the room had been decorated for a formal wedding breakfast… in pink!
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Coombes.
