Thorpe-le-Soken Church and Frinton Lawn Tennis Club
We had been looking forward to this wedding for a long time. The bride was getting ready at her house with her mum and bridesmaids so we dropped in for some preparation photos. The bridesmaids hadn’t seen the brides dress so her mum helped her into it before the big reveal. Firstly, the bride’s father came in to see his beautiful little girl dressed up as a bride. He was beaming and we could see how proud he was. Next was the reveal to the bridesmaids (who looked gorgeous!)… their reactions were priceless. How amazing is it to have such close friends by your side on your wedding day. Later, the flower girl arrived and almost stole the show with her adorable flower crown and wand.
At the church, the boys were calm and ready for the guests to arrive. We pulled them aside for some portraits and luckily caught a glimpse of the lining of their jackets – we had to get a shot of the the peacock pattern! Then it was showtime… the bride pulled up in an impressive wedding car and walked down the aisle with the biggest smile. The traditional English church ceremony at Thorpe-le-Soken was beautiful and the vicar was great. We love capturing the expressions of the bride and groom during that silence when the vicar asks if anyone objects to the marriage (haha). There was a slight hiccup at the signing of the register that we hadn’t encountered before – the vicar noticed it wasn’t filled in fully – hopefully they have got that sorted now. The group photographs were done outside the church before the guests headed off to the reception venue and the bride and groom stayed for their portraits. This couple were stunning! They said they usually feel awkward in front of the camera, don’t know what to do and don’t enjoy their photographs being taken, but they were fab. It was such a delight to work with them and achieve these gorgeous pictures.
Frinton Lawn Tennis Club hosted the wedding reception. The venue was new to us but soon saw why they had chosen it. The room was decorated to perfection and the outside space for drinks and mingling was good. All of the details at this wedding were picture-perfect so we weren’t surprised to see the cake was just as incredible. The musician had a small collection of percussion instruments which the young flower girl found. She amazed everyone at how she shook the tambourine in time with the guitar – didn’t miss a beat. Now, the speeches were all great but the best men knocked theirs out of the park. We love seeing different and unique ideas and these two didn’t disappoint. They brought in two white boards and got the bride and groom to play wedding Pictionary against each other. No need to say, it went down a blast! Our time ended after the first dance, but they carried on partying into the night. Congratulations guys!!
