Steeped in history, a handsome mansion set amongst glorious surroundings in Suffolk
The Venue – Ceremony
Woodhall Manor is a grade II listed building dating back to the 16th Century. If offers a variety of rooms to suit every size wedding from 20 to 200 guests. The wedding we photographed here was an intimate affair of around 30 people with the service taking place in the Nelson Room. Every room is full of character and steeped in history with rich wood paneling and large, open fireplaces. If you would prefer a light, bright ceremony, there is the option of an outdoor service in the summer months. This would be absolutely gorgeous with the mansion as the backdrop to your vows.
The Venue – Reception
Enjoy a sophisticated wedding breakfast in the Banqueting Suite or one of the smaller rooms before dancing the night away in the Long Bar. This space has been specifically equipped for parties and wedding celebrations with a stage and lighting included. This mansion is so versatile it can cater for an intimate afternoon tea or a full disco setup – whichever takes your fancy.
This venue boasts about nine acres of land surrounding the main house – any way you turn you will see stunning gardens. There is a lovely fountain at the back of the building which is perfect for your first portraits as Mr and Mrs and the group photos with your guests look amazing out the front with the magnificent facade behind. There are so many different areas that offer fantastic photo opportunities that we highly recommend you give plenty of time after the ceremony to explore the gardens and make the most of the surroundings for your pictures.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Woodhall Manor, particularly being able to make use of the beautiful grounds for our portraits but there are so many positives for any bride and groom. We can not wait to get back here. Your whole wedding day can be accommodated within this one special venue from getting ready to the final dance. Your guests can even hire rooms for the night so travel is less of an issue. For a private, luxury wedding day check out Woodhall Manor – you’re in for a treat.
